TECHNOLOGY AT STONEY CREEK DENTAL
Here at Stoney Creek Dental we are committed to peak performance which means we are continually taking courses to upgrade our skills and learn about the latest technologies to provide the best dental care to our patients. Having the right tools in the hands of expertly trained and experienced professionals greatly decreases pain and discomfort and increases the desired outcome.
IMPLANT DENTISTRY
For patients with one or more missing teeth, dental implants provide a permanent solution to replace those teeth. A dental implant offers the most realistic look and feel, and Stoney Creek Dental is proud to offer this solution to our patients.
INVISALIGN®
Invisalign clear aligners treatment is a fast, effective, and invisible way to achieve a new smile. Results can be evident in only a few weeks, and treatment can be completed in as little as six months.
iTERO SCANNERS
iTero intraoral scanners are developed by the same company as Invisalign and utilizes optical and laser scanning to get vibrant colour scans of your teeth and gums. This technology provides a 3D record of your teeth and gum condition at that moment so that we can see changes over time and not rely on memory to determine if changes have occurred.
We scan all of our patients to see these changes in an easy to see video.
3D CONE BEAM COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY (CBCT)
Many dental offices have a 2D digital panoramic x-ray machine but, here at Stoney Creek Dental, we have acquired a new Dexis OP 3D CBCT. CBCT stands for cone beam computed tomography and it allows us to take a 3D image of your teeth. Dexis is a leading-edge company that has been developing scanners for years and this machine will allow Dr. Park to precisely identify conditions and plan treatments that simply could not be done without these scans.
In the past Dr. Park sent his patients to be scanned at another facility but now we can do everything in-house. This will allow for faster treatments and convenience for our patients to have this scan performed in our office that is both familiar and trusted.
3D PRINTING
3D printing has been adopted by many different industries for several years now and dentistry is no exception. Dr. Park decided to add this to his practice in order to provide faster service to his patients.
This printer can be used for nightguards, sportsguards, retainers, and temporary teeth. Also, in conjunction with the CBCT, he will be able to print his surgical guides for implant surgeries. All this will be done in-house in order to provide faster treatments to his patients.
ANAESTHETIC MACHINE
Dr. Park has been always provided Asleep Dentistry to the community for those that have severe dental phobia or anxiety. To provide this service, he has a dedicated medical team comprised of an anaesthesiologist and nurse to monitor patients throughout the procedure. This is only possible because of his GE Healthcare’s Carestream Anesthesia Delivery System. This system has been praised by our medical team in providing outstanding monitoring for patients’ care. Combining both this technology and a dedicated medical team results in an optimal care environment for a high degree of success in dental treatments.
INTRA-ORAL CAMERAS
Stoney Creek Dental has utilized intraoral cameras for decades because explanations with pictures is so much easier to understand. We utilize Digital Doc intraoral cameras which are one of the leading products in the dental industry. These cameras are known for their superior image quality. What this means for you, our patients, is a clear image to show you what we see as we explain certain conditions in your oral health and how best to treat them.
LASER TREATMENTS
There are various uses of laser in dentistry. At Stoney Creek Dental, it is used in soft tissue applications such as treating gums and tongue-ties. The benefits are increasing patient comfort, controlling bleeding, and sterilizing the area.
Its benefits include greater patient comfort because its helps control bleeding and reduces swelling which typically eliminates the need for sutures and promotes faster healing and recovery with the benefit of also disinfecting the area.
